Bhagavad Gita: The Theory of Enlightenment is the second of a series of online courses by Sri Guru that explore the spiritual side of the Bhagavad Gita, providing you with a deeper and more accessible understanding of this world-renowned scripture. 

In Part 1 of this series, Sri Guru revealed the spiritual dimension of the Mahabharata war, as we studied the various warriors participating in the war and how they relate to our own spiritual journeys. We learnt about Arjun’s grief and his arguments against fighting, and how that is indicative of a seeker’s hesitation to walk the spiritual path.

Part 2 begins with chapter 2 of the Bhagavad Gita. Arjun is at an intriguing stage of his journey – distraught with grief, he has dropped his coveted Gandiva, declaring that he will not fight. With this backdrop, Sri Guru takes us on another introspective tour of the inner world.  From Arjun’s dilemma, to the laws of Surrender; from secrets of the Soul, to the essence of Karma Yog, and finally to the signs of an enlightened being. Reading between the lines of the mystical philosophy of Sankhya Yog, Sri Guru not only uncovers a theory of enlightenment that encompasses all religions and scriptures, but also shares a practical guide to applying it on our unique paths.
